Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year, but it also holds such sad memories for my family. Just last year, I watched a man, who my grandmother loved for 14 years, pass away. Then I watched as my husband’s grandfather was pulled from this world. And, this year my grandmother got the horrible news that her time may be short. So, this holiday I am planning on making it the best it can be for those I love and are still fortunate enough to care for.

With Sam’s Club Caregiving I can get everything I need to take care of my loved ones, in just one stop! From prescription refills, to free health screenings, and personal care; like Poise® and Depend®; getting supplies have never been easier.

Sam’s Club Caregiver is not only convenient, but this year I’ll be using some it’s resources to create the perfect gift box for my grandmother.

Since most elderly people are hard to buy for, for the holidays, here are some great gift ideas that they can actually use.

 Holiday Gift Ideas

Photo Gifts – Give your loved ones something to show off to their friends with photo gift items.

Blankets – Since the blood thins out as we get older, blankets are always a welcomed gift idea.

Poise or Depend – Keep your loved ones from living in fear of urinary incontinence with Poise and Depend products.

Pajamas – Most of the time, elderly loved ones like to stay comfortable; pajamas are always a great idea for loved ones.

Baked Goods and/or Chocolates – As we get older, sweet treats become harder and harder to find. Bring your loved one a small sweet treat and let them indulge once a year.

Slippers – Help keep your loved ones feet from getting cold and from falling with cushy, warm slippers.

A house full of loved ones for the holidays – Since time goes by so fast, give your loved ones a house full of friends and relatives for the holidays.

While I would normally never feel comfortable enough to buy someone Poise or Depend products, I know when my grandmother sees how much I saved on the Poise Liners, she will be glad! Now, when you purchase Poise and Depend products at Sam’s Club, the new packaging shows just how much you save!

Poise® Liners – Light Absorbency are specifically designed for light bladder leakage and designed to stay 3x’s drier than leading brands. Allowing your loved one to focus more on holiday cheer and less on unwanted bladder leakage.

I love shopping at Sam’s Club for all my caregiving needs and now, when you download the Digimarc Discovery app, you can scan anywhere on the Depend packaging, and it will drive you directly to the Sam’s Club Caregiver website.

I am so fortunate to have those I love the most to spend the holidays with. Life is so short, so make every moment you have with them special.

What are some gifts your elderly loved ones enjoy at the holiday?

This article reminds me of the gifts I used to get from MY grandmother when I was a young adult living out on my own for the first time. A HUGE gift bag stuffed with everything from toilet paper to dish soap! I think this is a great idea because older people can not always get out and about to get the things they really need. This type of gift truly shows we care, and understand!

Really great gift idea! My kids are blessed to have both of his grandmothers AND great grandmothers alive. Actually 3 great grandmothers alive still. Only two will be spending the holidays with us but still very thankful for that.
