Happy 2018 everyone! I’m so excited to be ringing in a new year. 2017 was a good year, but I’m ready to move forward and make 2018 even better!
There are so many things that I am hoping to accomplish in 2018. If you have been following me for a while, or maybe you are just joining me, I am so glad you are here. 2018 is going to be a BIG year for Crystal Carder and I wanted to share a little about the updates I hope to be making on the blog and life in general.
Goal 1: Build my Instagram
I love taking pictures, but some days I’m just too lazy to get all dolled up or dress the kids up for an Instagram photo. This year, I want to grow my instagram from 3.5k followers to 7,000 followers. I am going to start small, but I have to remember to be consistent and post 2-3 times daily. This one may be hard, but with a little more effort, I hope to make Instagram one of my favorite social media platforms this year.
Goal 2: Create and build The Carder Siblings Instagram and Youtube channel
Something that has been in the back of my mind since I started blogging was to create my children their very own Youtube and Instagramaccounts. Of course, mom will have complete control of these accounts, but my kids will be doing most of the work. It is something they are excited for and another thing I can incorporate into this blog.
Goal 3: Sell more on eBay and earn a sustainable amount of income
I have been wanting to sell on eBay for years and last year, I finally filled all of my necessary business license. This year, I just have to make sure to start selling and hopefully earn a sustainable income with it.
Goal 4: Add recipes to the blog
I like cooking, but I have been a little lazy lately. This year, I want to add recipes to the blog. I am probably going to just start out with simple, healthier recipes, but eventually I want to venture into recipe videos.
Goal 5: Grow my Facebook page to 5K
My Facebook page has been stuck at 3.5k fans for quite some time. I am hoping to grow my Facebook just a little, mainly because I have such a hard time getting followers with this one and Facebook’s algorithm is always changing for small businesses.
Goal 6: Be Consistent
I have been terrible at being consistent with blogging this last year. I have had a lot going on, but this year I am hoping to finally get to the point where my blog becomes my main focus throughout the day. I am hoping to post 5 times a week, except for weekends, but if my post become too forced, I may cut back to 3 post per week.
Goal 7: Do more videos and Live feeds
Like I said, I am terrible at dolling myself up enough to do a video or a live feed, but this year, I want to do more of those. I know videos and live feeds are key to growth, so this year I am hoping to face my fear and make more videos.
Those are my blogging goals this New Year, what are some of yours?
