I know summer is almost over, but there is still time left to throw together a last-minute cookout. Whether you are short on time or want something quick and easy to throw together, this Blueberry Marshmallow Fluff is the perfect crowd-pleaser and it takes just minutes to make.

In fact, it is so easy to make, that you can even let the kids make it, all by themselves.

When I came up with this recipe, I was really just going on a limb. I needed something delicious to take to a cookout, last minute, but I had no idea what to take. That’s when I thought of one of my favorite summer desserts, watergate salad. I knew I didn’t want to just make watergate salad, though, so I decided to mix up the recipe, a little. In the end, I came up with this delicious, unique, cool summer treat – blueberry marshmallow fluff.

To create this recipe, I knew I would need to make a few slight substitutions, so I decided to substitute the pistachio pudding with vanilla pudding and start from there.

Since the pistachio pudding gives watergate salad it’s delicious flavor, I knew I would need to add something in place of the pistachios, so I decided to try blueberry pie filling. I mainly just went with blueberries because my husband hates canned cherry, but also because I wanted something a little more out of the ordinary. You could probably substitute the canned blueberries for any fruit, or canned pumpkins, but for now, I think this recipe taste so good.

Blueberry Marshmallow Fluff

This Blueberry Marshmallow Fluff is a lot like the classic, watergate salad, but it tastes so much better! 


  • 1 Bag Miniature Marshmallows Use more marshmallows, if desired
  • 1 Can Crushed Pineapple Do not drain
  • 1 Can Blueberry Pie Filling
  • 1 Tub Cool Whip
  • 1 Large Box Vanilla Pudding Mix (Instant)


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. 

  2. Stir until mixed thoroughly.

  3. Serve and Enjoy!

Since you are using cool whip in this recipe, I the Blueberry Marshmallow Fluff is served best chilled. You can serve it with graham crackers and vanilla wafers on the side, or you can just eat it with no extras.
