When hope seems lost, the Bible has many verses of encouraging scripture to get you through. The following verses are some of my favorite verses to get you through these hard times.
I remember a few years ago, feeling completely hopeless. Michael had just been injured at his job and the chance of ever owning our own home again was quickly fading. Every time we tried to get a house, we were turned down. We felt like complete failures watching every one around us living and us taking ten steps back.
I remember wondering why we couldn’t have the one thing we really wanted – our own home. Then one day, it finally made sense. And, looking back I can see God’s hand leading the way the whole time. All those times we felt like He wasn’t there, He was.
While it may not feel like there’s any hope left today, one day you too will look back and see just exactly where God was in your story. If you allow Him to, He will guide you further than you ever imagined. Until then, find comfort in these beautiful Bible verses for when all hope seems lost.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. –Romans 5:3-5
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.–Isaiah 40:31
One of my favorite Bible verses. Isaiah 40:31 talks about the promise of heaven and how glorious it will be. When all hope is lost here on earth, there is always the promise of heaven to help us get through. Have more questions on heaven?
