My Review of REBEL by Anne Wilson
Music, to me, is a sermon. It’s something that has always spoken to me. I listen to Christian music to get through things in my life. Anne Wilson’s REBEL album speaks volumes to me! I love the songs on it. Most of you might not know, but the day after Christmas last year (2023), my 10-year-old nephew was diagnosed with leukemia. His diagnosis has changed my whole family. Watching someone you love and someone so small battle something as hard as cancer, there’s a realization, that there is nothing you can do. It’s all in God’s hands. You have to have faith and you have to PRAY!
One of my favorite songs on the REBEL album is a song called, Praying Women, and it just spoke volumes to me.

And that devil gets back to Hell running

One cool thing about Anne Wilson’s REBEL is the fact that every song written on the album was written under the banner question, “What does it mean to be a rebel in the world we live in today?” and thus given a corresponding tagline and bible verse. For example: REBEL: A Rebel does not follow the crowd. (Romans 12:2)
