You’ve waited nine months, almost ten, for this moment. It’s time to meet your beautiful baby!! But, what do you pack in that hospital bag; that is a question I always hear new parents asking.
While I’m sure I can share a few of my must-have hospital items, I decided to write this post with a list of every possible item you may want to have at the hospital. So, whether or it you’ll want it, or not, it will be on this list for someone who may, so be sure to share it with other pregnant mommas and new daddies.

- Snacks. Hospitals have the worse selection of foods, so bring extra yummy snacks for you and your significant other. (If you forget these, you always have in-laws and take-out)
- Flip flops – that shower is a whole lot nicer wearing flip-flops, just trust me on this one.
- A Roku, Chromecast, Computer and/or iPad. If you do luck out and have a few me minutes, you may want something to do or watch.
- Comfy pants, shirts, and/or pjs. Sitting in a hospital gown while people visit and take photos, is not a good idea, and you’ll regret it for years to come.
- Baby’s 1st, 2nd and maybe 3rd outfits. Depending on how long your sweet baby’s in the hospital, depends on how many outfits you’ll go through. But, plan for spit-ups and diaper leakages.
- Phone chargers because there’s going to be a lot of people calling, texting, and Facebook-ing. Chances are, your baby’s first pictures will be done with your smartphone.
- Makeup and other hygiene essentials.
- Your own pads and underwear. While the hospital will usually give you these, you may feel more comfortable in your own undies and pads. Just be sure to bring thick pads, like these ones, and not ultra thin.
