Strong Fathers Strong Daughters is a heart-felt comedy that stresses the importance of letting go and trusting God with His plans. In Strong Fathers Strong Daughters, we watch as a wealthy businessman (Steve) puts his dreams aside for his oldest daughter and learns to accept the plans she has made for her life, to get married and become a missionary in a dangerous country.
As Steve struggles to come to terms with his daughter (Abby) moving away and living life as a poor missionary, Steve’s soon-to-be son-in-law’s father hands him a book that he claims helped him parent his three daughters called, Strong Fathers Strong Daughters.
As Steve reluctantly takes the book, he procrastinates reading it. And that’s when things start to really turn up the heat. His other daughter, Zoey says she hates him and Abby and her soon-to-be husband, Oz run off to Mexico to get married without her family. Steve soon realizes he made a mistake and the movie has a happy ending – that I won’t spoil here – but I will say, you need to watch Strong Fathers Strong Daughters.
Even if you already got married, this movie is relatable and shows the love of a father and his daughter. And, the movie even addresses on the importance of missionary work and the sacrifices people in missionary work make.
