An Honest Review of Lifetime’s NEW Lifetime Movie Club

Who doesn’t love a good movie? I know I do. And, now that the kids are in school, I have been watching non-stop movies, thanks to the Lifetime Movie Club!

Introducing the new Lifetime Movie Club. For just $3.99 a month, or $39.99 a year, you can watch all the Lifetime Movie Network movies you want! Lifetime Movie Club has all my favorites like; Mother May I Sleep With Danger and The Wrong Man.

An Honest Review of Lifetime Movie Club

Lifetime Movie Club is exactly what I hoped it would be! It is super easy to sign up and you get a free 7-day trial to decide if you like it or not. I love how there are no commitments and no contracts. If I find myself not watching it as much as I planned on, I can cancel my subscription any time I want to.

Other than having to add your credit card for the free 7-day trial, signing up is painless.

Lifetime Movie Club has a decent selection of LMN movies, but there are some that are missing. Since the club adds new movies every day, it’s possible this club will get better with time. While I particularly wasn’t fond of most of the older movies, I was happy to see some newer movies that I never watched before on it.

With the club’s low $3.99 a month price, the club literally pays for itself in one day! Imagine renting just one movie on demand it’s a lot more than that! Even if you just watch one new Lifetime movie a day, you would have more than $3.99 in a cable bill or Redbox bill.

Since Lifetime Movie Club is so new, there really is a lack of movies on it. Being used to subscriptions like Netflix and Hulu, the lack of movies was kind of disappointing.

I am on the fence about paying $3.99 a month for this club, right now, but I would like to try it again once the club adds more movies and features.

  1. I am very disappointed with LMC, because even though we pay a monthly fee it still makes you buy or rent certain movies! I forgot to cancel my free trial so they went and took the money out of my account anyways, without warning. I figured I’d just watch as much as I could for the month they charged me for. I’m a true crime fanatic. Trying to get as much in as possible, there are 2 movies I wanted to see BUT they want me to pay extra! Not happy with this

  2. 2/11/2023 I, too, am disappointed with the lack of selection of movies. I now have vision loss & read anymore, so movies are now my new books – & I take them SERIOUSLY. I’ve loved mysteries & thrillers since I became addicted to Nancy Drew at age 7. I don’t care for the over-the-top, schlocky “psycho neighbor & psycho whatever” plots & I avoid anything with cheerleaders (& vampires & zombies!). That being said, & as picky as I am, the lifetime franchise has had some VERY excellent movies in the last 15 years, or so. I no longer have access to Lifetime Channel or Lifetime Movie Network, so, I was hoping LMC would air a LOT of their movies. To my disappointment LMC doesn’t air the newest or premiers of LC & LMN movies. Like several others here, I’m on the fence about my subscription. Like others, I also find it insulting that LMC offers movies to RENT! What’s the point of subscribing if you have to pay more money to see higher quality movies? Will the Lifetime franchise listen & take our complaints seriously? Probably not. But they really should because WE viewers are the ones who generate the money that pays their salaries & provides them with job security.

  3. I love my lifetime movies, but I am disappointed with lifetime movie club, Reason is, I will rent a month or 2 here and there and everytime i do rent they rarely put out new movies. When they do there is only 1 or 2 new ones if your lucky and the rest are movies they have already played and I’ve seen. There has been times where there are no new ones put out and only ones that have already been played. Unfortunately when my subscription runs out, I will no longer be subscribing to lifetime anylonger, plus they have raised there price. No longer worth it. Sorry lifetime movie club….

  4. This is such a bummer! I used to love Lifetime Movie Club, so sad to hear they haven’t been releasing new movies. Thanks for the feedback.
