While I’m not a big sweater, my armpits do tend to get sticky whenever my deodorant isn’t working as well as it should. If you have no idea what a “detox period” means in deodorant – don’t worry I didn’t neither – it’s a small amount of time (usually 1 day – 3 weeks) when your body gets rid of bacteria and toxins from your body. Since aluminum-containing antiperspirants clog your sweat glands to keep you from sweating, the build-up of aluminium can trap odor-causing bacteria and the detox period is the amount of time it takes your body to rid those toxins and bacteria from your body.
