I used to love crime-based television shows until they got too gruesome and I found myself having nightmares. So, when I heard that the christian-based streaming network provider, PureFlix had a faith-based crime drama, I had to see what it was about. And, guys, let me tell you, it’s soooooo good! Once I started watching this show, I seriously couldn’t stop. I binged-watched the entire first season in just 1-day!
About the PureFlix Show, Vindication
Vindication is a unique crime drama series that alters the perception of faith-based entertainment. Detective Travis (Todd Terry, Breaking Bad) has spent 15 years solving cases in the small town of East Bank, Texas. When the addition of an eager trainee upends his routine, Travis is forced to adjust his ways while balancing a growing number of suspiciously consistent cases. At home, tensions between the cynical detective and his devoutly religious wife escalate when their estranged daughter returns home.
My Review of Vindication Season 1
Faith and crime don’t go hand-in-hand, so when I first heard about the show, Vindication, I was a little curious of how the drama would play out. But after the first episode, I was hooked! There was no gruesome scenes but the show kept me in suspense and wondering, ‘who did it’.
While Detective Travis had a new crime to solve in every episode, each crime was portrayed through an eyewitness account. During one of my favorite episodes, episode 6, I found myself really liking Detective Travis’s character. He was stern and ready for justice when dealing with a human trafficker. But when dealing with his daughter’s friend, who was in an abusive relationship, he was caring and compassionate.
While each episode of Vindication is about 30 minutes in length, each episode will keep you on the edge of your seat and begging for more. Which is why I am so excited to share season 2 of Vindication just came out! Check out the trailer for season 2 below:
