I just realized my kids have been in school for a little over a month and I haven’t posted anything more than just a few pictures. I apologize everyone, life has been completely hectic!
The first day of school, the kids were so excited to go; Brantley was starting Pre-K and Cayden was starting 1st grade.
Although, I hated the thought of Brantley starting pre-K he wanted to be with his big brother and I couldn’t bare the thought of stopping him.
After the first week of school, I think Brantley realized it wasn’t all fun and games and he actually had to listen.
While he still likes school, Pre-K has completely changed my little boy. He’s always hugging us and telling us how much he misses us throughout the day. In fact, his teacher told us he is constantly telling her how nice his mom and dad are.
I’ve even been fortunate enough to do some volunteering in his class, but I had to stop because Brantley had a hard time transitioning when I left his class.
Most recently, Brantley got to be a junior firefighter and learned about cops, EMTs and firefighters. He had so much fun telling us about it.
Cayden, on the other hand, is a complete different story. This boy loves school and is constantly telling us how much better his new school is than his old one was.
Cayden has even told us he’s got 7 girlfriends! I keep asking him how he’s gonna handle 7 girls at one time, but then he goes on to tell us his friend has 30 girlfriends. (I guess he’s still got a lotta catching up to do).
Cayden has made one big adjustment this year, he had to get glasses!
I was a bit hesitant with him having to wear glasses, but after watching him do his eye-test, I’m hoping they give him the help he needs.
All of Cayden’s teachers constantly tell us how sweet of a boy Cayden is. And, Cayden seems to really have a gift for learning. He’s already reading words and spelling them.
This is Zoey’s first time ever being alone without both her brothers, and you can tell she misses them dearly throughout the day.
Zoey is still as onry as can be and she absolutely loves the extra attention she gets. She even completed a major milestone, we broke her of the binky! Now she is talking a whole lot more and so much clearer!
She has been spending her days watching Her two favorite shows, Paw Patrol and Blaze and mastering her little red tricycle.
I still can’t believe how fast my kids are growing. I keep thinking in just a few years all my babies will be in school.
Mamas, hug your kids tight tonight because time really does fly right by!
