When it comes to going on vacations, my cell phone is my best friend; I literally use it every step of the trip. Not just to play on, but to navigate, enjoy the ride, and, most importantly, save money. With so many apps to choose from, here are the ones that I consider to be the best travel apps for any road trip.
Airbnb – Airbnb is the newest hype in the travel world, people from all over the world are already using it. Airbnb is a unique service that allows people to book amazing spots from all over the world – stay in a cottage in the middle of the woods, or stay in a condo in the middle of the city. This app allows users to book rooms, homes, or list their home as a place to stay.
Your favorite fast food app for extra savings. While I am no fan of fast food, sometimes fast food is great on vacations, so be sure to download your favorite fast food apps and save money. Mcdonalds is almost always offering some sort of free food on their app.
Google Maps is my most trusted GPS app. In the past, I’ve been fortunate to have been alerted and rerouted during traffic jams, road work, and accidents. With Google Maps, I barely ever get stuck sitting in traffic and almost always end up at my destination on time.
VIBBIDI allows me to listen to my favorite music while still allowing me to use the apps I want to. VIBBIDI is also a social music sharing network, so I can connect with and listen to the favorite music of my friends and family.
Netflix helps me and the kids pass time while we’re on our way to our destination; almost all of our favorite shows are available for streaming.
TripAdvisor lets me see reviews, photos, and maps from locations all over the world. With over 500 million reviews from travelers just like me and you, you can’t go wrong with this app. TripAdvisor even makes it easy to find cheap hotels, restaurants, and flights.
Photoshop apps allow me to edit my photos quickly and easily while I am on the go. These apps let my photos look professional without putting in all that extra time. For more editing power, check out these 5 other apps I use to edit my photos on the go.
Your favorite social media networks allow you to keep friends and family updated while you are away. Let your parents know when you’ve arrived safely, or share all the fun you are having with your friends. Instagram is my social network of choice on vacations and it is where I post pictures the most during our family trips.
The Weather Channel app allows me to stay updated with the latest weather trends and any approaching storms. Plus, I can turn on alerts to warn me whenever severe weather may be approaching.
