Saying Goodbye to 2016: My Month By Month Year In Review

2016 has came and went and I sit here, wondering, where did time go? 2016 wasn’t the best year for my family, but we made a lot of memories and are still here to share the story.

Our year started out with nothing too memorable, in January, but February, my family put our house up for sale and moved out of Pennsylvania. That really does feel like a lifetime ago! USA, LLC

Along with moving, February was also when my family went on an amazing vacation to Sarasota, Florida. The weather was beautiful and, I still swear I could move there, if it weren’t for the hurricanes and huge bridges.

March, my husband and I celebrated our 7th anniversary. I can’t believe how fast the years are flying, it really doesn’t feel like that long ago we said I do.

April, one of the busiest months of the year for my family, we celebrated my 3 children’s birthdays and we probably all gained 5 pounds while doing it.

May, I turned another year older and had yet another uneventful month.

June, my baby graduated kindergarten and we registered my other baby for Pre-K. After so much burn out, our family decided to take a last minute road-trip to Watkins Glen, New York.

July, my son had to have his tonsils removed and, as bad as that was to prepare for, I saw a whole other side of my little guy. He was so brave!

Later that month, we took one last summer trip and ended up in Charlotte, North Carolina. We didn’t get to do much, but we had a blast and watching airplanes at the Charlotte Airport.

August was the month I dreaded, not just because summer was ending, but because my babies were going back and starting school. As much as I dreaded them going to school, my boys loved it. One day we may see about homeschooling, but for now, I think we will just keep things the way they are.

September, another busy month. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial, made a few long trips to Rockville, Maryland and celebrated my parent’s and niece’s birthdays.

October, wasn’t too eventful; we continued our weekly Rockville visits and did way too much trick or treating.

November, was a mix of emotions. We celebrated three Thanksgivings and got ready for my father’s major surgery. But, in between, we got the news that my uncle unexpectedly passed away. After taking in the heartbreaking news, I realized life really is too short to not be happy.

December, should have been a great month, but was again filled with sadness. On Christmas Eve, my grandmother passed away and in the days that followed, we said goodbye.

I’m sure I’m missing some very fun things we did last year, but nothing else really sticks out. This year, I can’t wait to grow this blog and I hope you will be there to help me grow!

I’m attempting to eat healthier and trying to not let stress get the best of me.

Tell me, what are some of your New Years Goals?
