We tried Panera Bread’s Unlimited Sip Club a few years ago, and to be honest, we weren’t exactly fans of it then. Naturally, when 2026 rolled around, we figured it had to have improved, right? Wrong. Panera Bread’s Sip Club has the potential to be a fantastic subscription service, but the company continues to struggle with execution.
How Much Does Panera Bread’s Sip Club Cost?
As of 2026, Panera Bread’s Unlimited Sip Club costs $14.99 per month. While that may seem like a lot, it’s surprisingly reasonable for those who live near a Panera Bread. The club allows members to grab a new drink every two hours, which can add up to significant savings for regular visitors.

The chain also frequently offers promotional codes, giving deep discounts on the monthly subscription.
Why the Sip Club Still Fails
The idea behind the Sip Club is great. Unlimited drinks, frequent visits, and a subscription service that encourages loyalty sounds perfect in theory. Unfortunately, the reality falls short.
Ordering drinks often means waiting in long lines, even with the so-called “Rapid Pick-up” option. Staff rarely have drinks ready upon arrival, despite the app indicating they are prepared. On multiple occasions, we’ve found ourselves standing in line, frustrated, and waiting for cups that should have been ready for grab-and-go.
The drink selection is underwhelming. Although Panera promotes the club as an “unlimited” experience, the actual variety is limited, and guests are expected to make their own coffee, tea, or iced coffee drinks. While the chain provides a decent selection of creamers, the drinks often taste worse than many competitors. For a service priced at $14.99 a month, we expect both convenience and quality, but in practice, it often feels bland and inconvenient.
So, Is Panera Bread’s Sip Club Worth It in 2026?
I really wanted to love Panera Bread’s Sip Club this time around, but ultimately, I still don’t. While the price can make sense on paper, the experience doesn’t live up to the promise.
The limited selection of drinks gets old fast—especially when you’re eligible for a refill every two hours. Many of the beverages are overly sweet, and there’s little variety for those who prefer healthier or more flavorful options. Add to that the reliance on single-use plastic cups, which feels wasteful and environmentally unfriendly for a subscription built on frequent visits.

Between inconsistent service, long waits for supposedly “ready” drinks, mediocre quality, and sustainability concerns, Panera Bread’s Unlimited Sip Club continues to fall short of its potential.
The bottom line: If you live next door to a Panera Bread and drink multiple beverages a day, the Sip Club might be worth it. For everyone else, the value quickly diminishes due to inconsistent service, limited drink variety, and lack of convenience.
Until Panera improves execution, expands its beverage options, and addresses the environmental impact of frequent single-use plastic cups, the Unlimited Sip Club remains a good idea that doesn’t quite justify the monthly cost.

The only way I will pay for the Panera SIP Club is when i receive an incredible deal. i just came off the 5.99 per month one for the past 3 months. my favorite use drink is the large iced coffee, take it home and create something like a starbucks drink using assorted flavored creamers i buy at target. i can usually get 3 drinks from the 30 ounce coffee, so it’s very worth it. no i would not pay the 14.99 current rate for the sip club.
Totally get where you’re coming from! $14.99 is way too much for their drinks. I feel like $5.99 would be doable, but I still do not think that with their selection and quality, I would even do that. Next time, I will have to try your iced coffee idea. I never thought to bring it home and add some flavor to it, that’s so smart!
I been going there for several years now. I agree that most of the drinks are “way-way too sweet” and the cost to eat there is for the upper class only. They need to offer a few lower cost items for the normal/lower income customers.
I agree with you, Panera Bread has become way too expensive for families and their drink offerings are nothing but sugary and lack selection.
