If you’ve ever struggled to stay consistent with your Bible reading, you’re not alone. Life gets busy, routines fall apart, and before you know it, days—or weeks—have gone by. That’s why I was excited to try The One Year Bible for Men. Designed with a clear, manageable structure and devotionals written specifically for men, this Bible promises to make daily time in Scripture both doable and meaningful. After spending time with it, here’s my honest review.
Many thanks to Tyndale for providing me with a copy of this Bible. #oneyearbible #ad

Published by Tyndale, this edition is presented in the New Living Translation—one I don’t typically use, but found surprisingly accessible and engaging.
About the Bible
The One Year Bible for Men combines Tyndale’s bestselling daily Bible reading format with short, two-minute devotionals written specifically for men. Designed as a true 365-day journey, this NLT edition guides readers through the entire Bible in a year with daily selections from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Each day’s reading can be completed in about 15 minutes, making it a very manageable option for men with busy schedules.
One of the standout features is the 100-word devotional thought written by Stephen Arterburn, which appears alongside each day’s Scripture reading. These brief reflections are practical, encouraging, and intentionally geared toward the challenges men face in their spiritual lives.

Key features include:
- A clear, structured daily reading plan through the whole Bible
- Readings from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs each day
- Concise, 100-word devotionals by Stephen Arterburn
- The accurate, easy-to-read New Living Translation
- A design and layout that feels clean, masculine, and inviting
This Bible also pairs well with The One Year Bible for Women, making it a great option for couples who want to read through the Bible together while using devotionals tailored to them individually.
The One Year Bible for Men NLT Review
I received the softcover edition of The One Year Bible for Men, and the first thing that stood out to me was how beautifully illustrated the cover is. It has a clean, modern look that feels inviting and thoughtfully designed. However, because it is a softcover, it may feel a bit flimsy for anyone who plans to toss it in a bag or travel with it regularly. If you’re someone who likes a sturdier Bible for everyday carry, you might prefer one of the more durable bindings. But for home use, the softcover is lightweight, comfortable to hold, and really well done visually.

While this Bible is simpler than many of the Bibles that I often use, I love the fact that it was designed specifically for men. The short devotionals are a great touch and placed within the Bible in a way that they are not distracting.
Overall, The One Year Bible for Men is a well-designed, approachable resource for men who want to build a consistent habit of reading God’s Word.
