I don’t know why but little girls are a lot easier to buy for than boys. Maybe, it’s because I’m a girl, but honestly, I could go overboard on buying my daughter non-candy Easter basket ideas – it’s just so easy to buy for her. Fortunately, I know buying for a 5-year old daughter isn’t as easy for everyone.
If you’re looking for the best non-candy ideas for your daughter’s Easter basket this year, this post has you covered. These non-candy items are fairly inexpensive but are exactly what every girl really wants to find in her Easter basket.
Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas for Your 5-Year Old Daughter
Disney’s Princess Dolls
My daughter is finally getting to that age where she loves Disney Princess Dolls. These dolls come in her favorite Disney Princess characters, have removable clothing, and have a tiara and shoes. There are only 11 characters to collect and most of them are cheaper than actual Barbie dolls.
Although Disney Princess Dolls are kind of like a Barbie, little girls still love to have lots of Barbies too! Barbie is a toy that’s been around for centuries and more than likely, your grandma even had Barbies. Since Barbie has had many job-roles in her very long career, chances are, there’s a Barbie every girl will like.
My Little Pony
My almost 5-year old daughter has been obsessed with My Little Pony since she was just 2. The great thing with My Little Pony is that it been around for so long that there are hundreds of different ponies you can purchase. You can get everything from My Little Pony Surprise Packs to My Little Pony Collections.
By 5 your daughter will usually love or hate dresses. If she loves them, dresses are a great non-candy idea for her Easter basket. Since summer is right around the corner, you can double her Easter gift as summer clothing. One of my favorite dresses for Easter is this sleeveless Princess dress from Amazon.
My daughter is just like me. She would rather wear heeled wedged sandals than a boring pair of flip flops. Though I know she’ll need flip flops too, sandal wedges are a great Easter basket idea. Available in many styles and smaller heel sizes, these ones from Nine West are a personal favorite of mine.
Play Makeup & Hair Accessories
At 5-years old, my daughter is at that age where she loves doing everyone’s hair and playing with makeup. That’s why hair accessories and makeup are an easy, inexpensive thing to fill up the Easter basket with. You can easily find cheap makeup and hair accessories at the Dollar Tree, but if you want more of a selection check out all Amazon has to offer. Some things I suggest picking up are:
- Stick-on nails
Coloring Book & Crayons
Whether your daughter is or is not already in school, most girls love to color. That’s why I suggest adding some cheap coloring books and crayons to her basket. You can usually find hundreds of fun character ones at Dollar Tree, but if you can’t get there, Amazon also has a great selection of girl’s coloring books.
I hope this non-candy Easter basket guide helps you with your 5-year old’s Easter basket. For more gift guides check out my growing list of guides HERE.
