It’s been so busy lately that I’ve forgot to mention that Michael and I are currently in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with the family. We are doing a 4-week evangelism seminar and it’s been so busy. But we finally had a day off yesterday, so I took full advantage of it by watching the NEW heartwarming movie, Tyson’s Run.
It’s not out in theaters yet, but you won’t want to miss it when it comes to theaters on March 11th. It’s such a heartwarming movie, that I can’t wait to share my review with you and I am even offering one lucky reader a chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card!
About Tyson’s Run
When fifteen-year-old Tyson attends public school for the first time, his life is changed forever. While helping his father clean up after the football team, Tyson befriends champion marathon runner Aklilu. Never letting his autism hold him back, Tyson becomes determined to run his first marathon in hopes of winning his father’s approval.
With the help of an unlikely friend and his parents, Tyson learns that with faith in yourself and the courage to take the first step, anything is possible.
My Review of Tyson’s Run
Before I was offered the chance to pre-screen Tyson’s Run, I actually saw the trailer for the movie pop up on my Facebook and I immediately knew I wanted to see it. It looked like such a good movie, that I wanted to share the trailer with you all so you can see for yourself.
Tyson’s Run was one of those movies that I could watch over and over again and it would never get old. The movie was so well played that it seemed like all the actors were family in real-life.
Major Dobson, who plays Tyson, did an amazing job bringing awareness to autism and playing an autistic teenager that I seriously had to Google whether or not he really was autistic. While I never had to try to win my father’s approval, this movie was still very relatable.
There were multiple times in this movie where I found myself trying not to cry. I don’t want to give away too much of the movie because I think it’s one that you need to watch, I will say be sure to take your children to see it with you because they will love it, too!
Tyson’s Run hits theaters March 11th, so don’t wait to get your tickets.
