My kids and I are obsessed with Monster Jam so when we heard Monster Jam Triple Threat Series was coming to the PPG Pains Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa, we knew we had to be there.
While I kept an eye on ticket prices, I lucked out and won a free family pack of tickets for my family to go to Monster Jam opening night. With nothing else going on and the weather finally cooperating, we took the kids from school and made the day trip to Pittsburgh.
When we arrived in Pittsburgh, the first thing we did was find the PPG Paints Arena where the show would be taking place. Of course, you may be familiar with the PPG Paints Arena as the place where the Pittsburgh Penguins play, but the arena is actually used for other events throughout the year. My kids had never been to a large event like this one, so getting to go inside of a huge building like this one was quite the treat.
When we got inside, it was still too early to go to our seats, but people were already lining up, so we did too. The wait seemed like it lasted forever, but when they finally let us head to our seats, we were awe-struck by the site of all of our favorite monster trucks. The eight trucks racing that night were: Grave Digger, Max-D, El Toro Loco, Monster Mutt Rottweiler, Zombie, Megladon, Scooby Doo, and Solider Fortune.
Just seeing all of the trucks sitting in the arena, was enough to send the adrenaline rushing. My kids and I were so excited, that waiting for the monster trucks to start couldn’t have happened soon enough!
During the show, we saw exactly what we had came for! The trucks did the cool stunts that we wanted to see like; donuts, wheelies, freestyle and some of them even rolled over.
Monster Jam lasted for over two hours that night and we had a blast! Between the monster trucks racing and doing tricks, and the atvs; we could not have had a better time.
Even though, it has been a little over a week since we’ve gone to Monster Jam, all of my kids (including my daughter) have not stopped talking about it!
If you have never been to Monster Jam before, you have to check them out when they are in a town near you! Trust me, we’ve been to other monster truck shows and none of them even compare to Monster Jam!
