Christmas morning is one of the most exciting days of the year. Kids wake up early and there is “magic” in the air. Grandparents come over, or maybe you visit them, and the sound of little footprints can be heard all around the house.
But what happens when Christmas morning isn’t a success? You only get so many Christmases with your loved ones, so you have to make them count. This year for Christmas, don’t take the chance of ruining Christmas, follow these tips for a successful, “magical” Christmas.
Plan on Making Breakfast
Every year on Christmas morning, after my family opens our gifts at our house, we head over to my mom and dad’s house to open more gifts. Since my sisters and I are grown-ups now with our own families, we always do a large breakfast on Christmas morning instead of a Christmas dinner. This way, we can all do other things on Christmas Day and my mom doesn’t have to deal with the hassle of making a big dinner.
Breakfast on Christmas morning is essential in my household. We always make it after the gifts are opened and it’s usually the only meal my kids stop playing long enough to eat on Christmas Day. If your family runs a busy schedule on Christmas Day, an early morning breakfast can be a good way to keep everyone happy and ready-to-go for the day.
Set the Coffee Pot to Brew Early
On Christmas morning, my kids refuse to sleep in. We’re usually up and at it by 5 am and we don’t finish Christmas until late Christmas night. To say we’re usually exhausted on Christmas would be an understatement! That’s why every night before Christmas, I always set the coffee pot to brew a full pot of coffee by 5 am. This way, no one has to fiddle with the coffee pot and there’s always plenty of coffee to get my husband and me through Christmas Day.
Don’t Forget the Batteries
Whenever it comes to Christmas, there’s bound to be something new that needs batteries. With all the electronic toys available on today’s market, you don’t want to take the chance of ruining Christmas by forgetting the batteries. That’s why it’s important to stock up all sizes of batteries ahead of time.
For my family, I only trust one brand of batteries to help our Christmas stay a success, Energizer® batteries.
For Christmas morning, I like to keep Energizer MAX® AA 8 Pack batteries, Energizer® Ultimate Lithium™ AA batteries, and Energizer® Brand Headlights on hand.
Whenever I trust Energizer® Batteries to power my holidays, I can be certain our Christmas Day will be a success. Energizer MAX® batteries are the longest-lasting AA and AAA Energizer MAX® batteries to-date. Perfect for powering toys, digital cameras, and everyday devices, these batteries hold up to 10 years of power in storage, giving you power when you need it most.
Nothing outlasts the long-lasting power of Energizer® Ultimate Lithium™ AA Batteries. These batteries are my choice for powering the essential devices on Christmas morning. Each battery’s safety-conscious, leak-proof design protects against leaks and corrosion; giving your devices the power they need with the safety you have to have.
Energizer® Brand Headlights are a fun choice on Christmas morning. If you’re up early, like we are, Energizer® Brand Headlights have the most useful range of lightweight and versatile lighting products designed especially for those tasks that require two hands. We like to use Energizer® Brand Headlights for late night and early morning walks to the car on Christmas Day when our hands are usually full of Christmas gifts.
You can purchase Energizer®batteries at your local Walmart store. I found these ones near the cash registers at my local Walmart.
For a limited time, you can receive a $5 Walmart eGift card with your $15 Energizer® battery or lights purchase. Click HERE to learn more.
Have a Set Time for Everyone to Come Over
On Christmas morning everyone is always busy going house to house and making their own special memories. That’s why it’s important to have a set time for everyone to meet up on Christmas day. A set time gives everyone a chance to plan their day and allows the kids to have more time playing with their toys. Whenever things are planned, Christmas Day can be more of a success for everyone!
