This summer, rather than hitting the beach, why not head to the best summer destination for families in 2019, Hershey Amusement Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania?
Hershey Amuseument Park has been one of America’s most beloved theme parks for over 100-years. With an experience that you won’t get anywhere else in America, Hershey Park has something for everyone in the family to love, not just the kids.
Why Hershey Park is the Best Summer Destination for Families in 2019
Hershey’s Chocolate World
Hershey’s Chocolate World is one of my absolute favorite things about Hershey Park. Though it’s not an official part of Hershey’s Amusement Park, Hershey’s Chocolate World is right next door to the amusement park and can be visited any time of the year – for free!
At the Chocolate World guest can take a free ride-on chocolate tour and learn how Hershey makes their famous Hershey’s Milk Chocolate. Guest of all ages are encouraged to participate in the free ride-on tour and at the end of the tour, every guest gets a free Hershey’s Chocolate Bar.
Hershey’s Chocolate World offers more than just a ride-on tour, inside you will also find a massive selection of all of your favorite Hershey’s candy-themed items, meet and greets with beloved Hershey characters, and additional add-on experiences.
Something for the Whole Family
One thing you will never do at Hershey Park is get bored! With over 70 attractions, there’s always something to do at Hershey Park that the whole family will enjoy.
While at the amusement park, guest can enjoy one of 14 roller coasters, an ENTIRE water park, kiddie rides, musical performances, and so much more! Hershey Amusement Park has so many fun rides and attractions, that experiencing them all in just one day isn’t an easy feat. In fact, I recommend upgrading your whole Hershey Experience to either a 2-day pass or a season pass.
Hershey Amusement Park Has Its Own Zoo
Not many parks can brag about having their own zoo, but Hershey Park can! Inside Hershey Park, they have their very own ZooAmerica that features over 200 animals native to North America. Though the zoo is only 11-acres, the zoo is home to some really cool animals that you may have never seen before like a mountain lion, black bear, and more.
Fun Character Meet and Greets
During your time at Hershey Amusement Park, you are bound to meet some cool Hershey characters, wherever you go in the park. These characters are constantly seen roaming throughout the park and they love letting you get your picture taken with them or giving a high-five.
While we there, we were fortunate enough to meet Reeses, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, and a few other of our favorite chocolate characters.
It’s Affordable Family Fun
One of the things that I love about Hershey Park is how affordable the park is for bigger families. As a family of five, buying souvenirs and food inside a theme park can sometimes be daunting. At Hershey, though, their prices were affordable for families like mine. In fact, meals at the park weren’t much more than meals at most outside restaurants.
Plus, when we were there, the park had a souvenir, all-day refillable drink cup for just $15.99. With this cup, we were able to get free drink refills, all-day, all throughout the park. Compared to most theme parks, we found this price really affordable because, let’s face it, one of the biggest expenses at attractions like Hershey is usually buying drinks.
Other than being just affordable on prices, Hershey Park offers you the most for your money – making it my number one choice for family fun this summer!
