Bath time with three kids can be exhausting! Every night, it’s a constant battle of bath time wars. One kid doesn’t want a bath, while one kid doesn’t want to get out of the bath. The fight is never-ending! That’s why I when Zimpli Kids reached out to me and asked me to try Zimpli Kids Gelli Baff and Slime Baff, I was pretty excited.
Although I had never heard of Zimpli Kids, their products looked like a ton of fun! Each of Zimpli Kids products are unique, innovative and completely unlike any other products available on the market.Zimpli Kids have a wide selection of fun products for kids, but the ones I received from them are for making bath time fun and include their Gelli Baff and Slime Baff kits.
Our Zimpli Kids Experience
I’ll be honest with you, when Gelli Baff and Slime Baff first arrived at my door, I was completely petrified to use them. Were the products safe to use on my kids? Would they drain out of the tub without causing a bigger issue in my house’s plumbing?
I had so many worries about using these bath time products, that I should have just read the instructional information with the packages first because it told me everything I needed to know.
Is Gelli Baff and Slime Baff Safe for Kids?
Yep! Completely safe. Zimpli Kids take the safety of their products very seriously. They also run each product through a series of test and happily distribute their products to 50 countries!
I read an Amazon review stating someone had their kids get chemical burns from these products, but my experience was completely pleasant with these products. My kids spent hours in the bath with them and had no rashes after coming out.
Will Gelli Baff and Slime Baff Bath Products Drain?
This was probably my biggest worry with the Zimpli Kids products, but it’s something I never had to worry about in the first place.
The Gelli Baff kit comes with two steps. Step one, of course, is the actual step that turns the water into gelli and step 2 is the step that dissolves the gel and makes it safe to go down the drain.
After using the dissolver in the bathtub, the gel went down the drain without any plumbing issues. On-the-other-hand, the Slime Baff requires just water to help wash it down the drain, so it’s even easier to wash down.
The Actual Gelli Baff and Slime Baff Experience
When the packet of Zimpli Kids arrived at my doorstep, my kids were aching to try them out. Unfortunately, I made them wait. I was so worried that the Slime Baff and Gelli Baff would cause a huge mess, along with the other stuff mentioned, that I really wanted to make sure I did it on a day I had enough extra time to really clean a bathtub.
The day I finally let the kids do their first bath, I decided to let them use the Gelli Baff first. The Gelli Baff was the one I thought looked the coolest and the kids had already seen this one being played with on one of the many YouTube videos featuring Zimpli Kids, so I thought it was the perfect “starter” kit.
To start the Gelli Baff, we first filled the tub with 3 inches of water. After the tub was filled, we sprinkled “step 1” into the water, evenly. Then we let my daughter get in and stir the water around.
After about 10-minutes, or so, the water was completely like a gel-texture, so we let the kids put a swimsuit on and play in the gel bath together. For the next 45-minutes, they had so much fun! And when they were done, the dissolver made the gel liquid enough to go down the drain. Plus, there was no mess! None!
The kids even got a little bit of the Gelli Baff on the floor outside of the tub and it just swept up with a broom. I couldn’t believe how easy Gelli Baff was to clean up, no mess, no stains, no problems – at all!
Since things went so smoothly with Gelli Baff, we were much quicker at letting the kids do the Slime Baff. The Slime Baff basically had the same concept as the Gelli Baff, except it doesn’t come with the dissolver because it just washes down the drain. With the Slime Baff, you just sprinkle the slime powder into the water and mix it around. Within minutes, the powder turns the water into a slimy, gooey experience.
My kids have been obsessed with slime, so they loved the slimy bath that Slime Baff gave them.
Overall, our experience with Zimpli Kids has been completely positive! The kids loved it and it made their bath time fun again. If you’re interested in trying Zimpli Kids bath time products, both Gelli Baff and Slime Baff can be purchased online at Amazon.
