A few years ago, my boys were gifted scooters for their birthdays. Ever since then, scooters have been their go-to toy whenever they are outside. They love to race each other and use them in the yard.
Unfortunately, the scooters have been through a lot throughout the years and this year, it was time to buy them a new one. With so many brands of scooters on the market, I wasn’t sure where to look. That’s when Flybar contacted me and asked me to try out the NEW Aero 2-Wheel Kick Scooter.
The Flybar Aero 2-Wheel Kick Scooter is designed for children ages 5 and up and comes in three appealing colors that my kids loved; pink, blue, and orange.
We received the Flybar Aero in the orange shade and we love how brightly colored it is. Whenever my son rides it, the scooter even has bright lights inside the scooter’s large 125mm wheels. Although, the lights are a little hard to see during the day, at nighttime, you can’t miss the bright lights coming from both wheels.
One thing we love about the Aero 2-Wheel Kick Scooter is that it is safer than other scooters my kids have had in the past. On the back of the scooter, near the big wheel, this scooter has a foot brake. Whenever my son gets going too fast, or wants to slow down, he can just step on that foot brake and automatically stop. Although, it has taken some time for my son to get used to the rear brake, it has saved him from running into a ton of things outside.
Another feature that adds to the Aero’s safety is the use of grip tape on the deck top. Each of the 3 Aero color options even have their own uniquely designed deck top.
Although, you may not be able to tell the grip tape is on the top deck, in the picture above, you won’t be able to miss the added stability it provides. Whenever my kids are riding this scooter, they barely ever fall off. The grip tape even seems to provide them a lot of extra control whenever they are riding.
Finally, unlike my kid’s last scooters, the Flybar Aero is made with a durable steel frame and has adjustable handlebars. For me, these two things are almost essential anymore. My boys are rough on their toys, so finding things that are made to last through them, is something I need. I love how this scooter has a steel frame because it makes it feel less junky and it last through a child’s roughness. The adjustable handlebars are also an added bonus and much needed since this scooter is for kids as young as 5 years old.
Overall, the Flybar Aero 2-Wheel Kick Scooter is everything I would ever want in a scooter; it’s safe, durable, and hours of fun! If you would like to check out this scooter, you can on Flybar’s Website.
