A Story of Love That Grows

At the heart of GROW is the touching bond between Dinah Little (Golda Rosheuvel), a no-nonsense farmer, and her spirited niece Charlie (Priya-Rose Brookwell). When Charlie—who has a magical knack for connecting with plants—comes to live with her prickly aunt, their lives change in the most unexpected and heartwarming ways.

As the Pumpkin Capital of the World gears up for its annual growing contest, Charlie sets her sights on victory. But as her pumpkin “Peter” grows, so does her bond with Dinah. Together, they discover that the real prize isn’t a blue ribbon—it’s joy, laughter, and family.

Pumpkin Spice in Film Form

If you could bottle up everything we love about fall—warm colors, cozy vibes, small-town charm, and just the right amount of laughter—you’d get GROW. The movie is packed with colorful characters, from grumpy farmers to over-the-top pumpkin rivals, and a setting that feels like a real-life autumn fairy tale.

And let’s be honest, it’s nice to have a wholesome, lighthearted option for movie night this time of year instead of the usual scary stuff.

“Wild Gardening” Meets Whimsy

scene from the movie grow

Charlie’s love for plants might just inspire your kids to dig in the dirt (in the best way possible). Her passion for growing things is contagious and reminds us all that nurturing—whether it’s a garden, a relationship, or a dream—takes patience, care, and a little bit of faith.

It’s the kind of movie that makes you smile, laugh, and maybe tear up a little too.
