I’m not sure if you all saw the announcement yesterday, my baby boy graduated pre-k!! I planned on doing this post yesterday, but time got away from me, so I’m finally sharing it today.
The day of his graduation Brantley was so excited. He kept asking us if he was going to be in kindergarten the next day. He really had no idea why he would have to go to pre-k again if he graduated it. Unfortunately, the only answer I had for the little guy that he understood was because we say so.
That morning, I dressed Brantley in kind of dressy clothes, but I didn’t go too dressy because it was rainy and cold. I had thought I had read something about outdoor activities, so I figured I would dress him to be on the safe side. He ended up in this Under Armour Polo and a nice pair of jeans.
By the time I got the kids on the bus, it was almost time to head out to help decorate for the graduation, so I had to rush to finish getting everything ready.
When I got to the environmental center, parents were already setting up, so I got put on balloon duty along with a few other parents. The lady who came up with the decorations really out did herself, these balloons were used as centerpieces inside of crayons.
The graduation went pretty fast, Brantley got his award and he couldn’t have had a bigger smile on his face.
The day was bittersweet, to say the least; I can’t believe my baby boy is all done Pre-K!!
I still remember crying when we enrolled him last year… Mamas, don’t ever take one moment with your child for granted, it goes way too fast.
How many of you watched your children graduate this year?
