About the AIRBORNE Event

In its second year, the Merriweather District Artist-In-Residence program brings together 3 artists to work, live and create amongst the Downtown Columbia, Maryland community each year.

The selected artists are selected through a nation-wide selection process and are given a $10,000 stipend, studio space, and housing to spend up to six-weeks in residence. This year’s AIRBORNE event artist will include Ram Devineni, Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann, and Sarah Stefana Smith.

These artists have work tiredlessly to transform a 20,000 square foot office space into an immersive art experience to host this free AIRBORNE event.
