Would I try the 9-pound banana split from The Poky Dot again?
Absolutely! In fact, we’ve gotten The Poky Dot Banana Split 2 different times. Once when the kids were younger and, we were lucky to polish off just one ice cream ball. And, once when the kids were older and we, surprisingly finished all but 3 ice cream balls!

It’s an extremely fun challenge, even if you’re just doing it for fun. And, the diner is a really cool place. It’s laid out like a 50’s diner with all the matching furniture and wallpaper. The staff is always really nice and, the atmosphere is fun.
If you’re ready to visit The Poky Dot, I suggest planning your visit between lunch and dinner on a weekday, when the place is not as packed. The Poky Dot does offer parking and lots of seating, but the place does fill up quickly on weekends and in the evening hours.
