The Gospel of Mark is one of the most renowned stories in the Bible. It tells the story of Jesus from his life to his death, to finding the empty tomb. This time of the year, we often remember that story when we celebrate Easter. That’s why the release of Lionsgate’s new movie, The Gospel of Mark, is so important this time of the year to help others learn His story.
Following last year’s release of The Gospel of John comes this year’s release of the first-ever word-for-word, unedited movie of The Gospel of Mark.
About The Gospel of Mark Movie
According to The Gospel of Mark, Jesus is a heroic man of action, an exorcist, healer and miracle worker – the Son of God who keeps His identity a secret. The critic acclaimed epic production, which took five years in the making, is based on the latest theological, historical, and archaeological research, and offers and unforgettable, highly authentic telling of the Jesus story – ending with the empty tomb, a promise to meet again in Galilee, and Jesus’s instructions to spread the good news of the resurrection.

My Review of The Gospel of Mark
The Gospel of Mark DVD is one that I really wanted to watch. I had previously read the Gospel of Mark, but I always wanted to picture it a little more than just in my head. After watching this movie, I kind of understood the story a little more. It was actually a real eye opener and I felt so many different emotions while watching it.
If you’ve ever watched one of those movies where it sucks you in and you feel like you’re there, this movie was exactly like that. Everything in this movie was done so on-par with the real Gospel of Mark, that it was incredible. The movie was even shot on scene in Morroco with consultations from expert theologians and biblical scholars and produced by the Lumo Project. It was even given a Dove Faith Friendly Seal for ages 12+.
After watching The Gospel of Mark, I would honestly recommend it to everyone before Easter. It truly is a great story.
The Gospel of Mark will be available in a full-length movie (123 minutes) on March 14th at Walmart, Digital HD, and On Demand from Lionsgate.
In the meantime, you can follow the movie on social media here:
