You’re grieving.
You lost someone you loved so much, you never thought you could live your life without them.
But here you are.
Staring at the pictures and memories of them, wondering what you will do now.

Truth is, death isn’t easy.
And time may ease the pain, but it can never take it away.
Maybe you’re blaming God for the pain you’re feeling.
Yelling at Him even?
You just don’t understand why He had to take the one you loved.
But friend, even Jesus weeps.
When Lazarus died, Jesus knew He was going to raise him from the dead…
And still, He wept.
Because grief is real. Loss is real.
Jesus didn’t skip the pain. He stepped into it.
“Jesus wept.”
– John 11:35
The pain you’re feeling—it isn’t from God.
It’s the result of a broken world, one that groans under the weight of sin and death.
Satan came to steal, kill, and destroy—but Jesus came to bring life, even in the middle of the loss.
God isn’t far from your pain. He’s right in the middle of it with you.
He bottles every tear (Psalm 56:8),
He draws near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18),
And He promises that one day, death will be no more.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore,
for the former things have passed away.”
– Revelation 21:4
You may never “get over” this loss—but you don’t have to walk through it alone.
Let Jesus carry what you can’t.
Let Him sit with you in the silence.
Let Him remind you that this isn’t the end of the story.
He is still good.
He is still near.
And He is still writing hope out of the ashes.
Prayer:
Jesus, I don’t understand this pain.
But I bring it to You.
Sit with me in my grief.
Speak peace into the chaos.
Hold me when I have no words.
And help me believe that You are still good, even in this.
Amen.
