Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a family to enjoy it with!
I could just post that I’m going to three Thanksgiving dinners this year and am going to be super busy, but I’d rather not. We only get one day a year to really share what we’re thankful for, so I’m gonna take full advantage of the day and share with you all just what I am thankful for this year. (I have way too many things, but I promise to keep this list short and sweet).
My family. I am very fortunate to have a big family to enjoy Thanksgiving with and I couldn’t be any more blessed. I have 3 beautiful kids, a loving husband, wonderful parents, sisters, in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
God. I know God should have been first on this list because without Him, I wouldn’t be so blessed. I am thankful for a forgiving God and a caring God. I know, at times, I may not see his reasonings for something, but He knows what he is doing. And, in my time of need He never abandons me.
Food. For many years, I struggled with the fact that I was so blessed to have three Thanksgiving meals while others had none. And, to this day, it still bothers me. I am thankful for the plentiful food that I can eat and feed my family.
Shelter. This year my family may not own our home, but we have a place to call home and that’s all that matters. After we sold our home, a few months ago, God gave us a place to stay with my family until things finally turn around for us.
Dreams. I am both thankful and annoyed to be a dreamer, but I guess it gives me something to look forward to. In this life, I have failed at so many dreams, succeeded at some and will continue dreaming forever. I’d rather be a dreamer than have nothing to look forward to.
Health. Health wise, my family could be in a little better shape. We could probably stand to get rid of a lot of stress, but technically we have our health. While so many others are dying I am grateful for good health and pray we keep it for many years to come.
