Disney World is at the top of every family’s vacation bucket list and, there’s a reason for that. The Orlando-area theme park has not only been named one of the Top 25 Amusement Parks in the World but its also been nicknamed, the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” Every year, millions of visitors flock to Disney World to experience food, magical meet and greets, and one-of-a-kind experiences that they will only get at Disney World.
That’s why this year when my family went to Orlando, we finally decided to splurge and spend a day at all 4 Disney World theme Parks and we had so much fun! If you’ve been on the fence about visiting Disney World, here are 4 reasons why your family will LOVE Disney World.
4 Reasons Your Family Will LOVE a Visit to Disney World
Dream Meet and Greets
No matter how old you are, you are never too old for a magical meet and greet with your favorite Disney characters. During our time at Disney World, we caught up with a few of our favorite characters like; Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and the Stormtroopers from Star Wars.
While the lines for some of the more popular characters may get long, each meet and greet is well worth the wait. Each time we saw a character, our kids had a reaction that was too adorable, it made the whole vacation (and the expense) worth it.
Even my 9-year old surprised us with his reaction to Mickey Mouse. Until then, he had been acting like he was too-old for kid-things, but when he saw Mickey Mouse, he instantly had a change of heart. Just like he did, the first time he met Mickey when he was 3, he ran up to Mickey Mouse and fell in love all over again. He even blushed when Minnie Mouse gave him a kiss on the cheek.
My oldest meeting Mickey Mouse when he was three! He was so in love!
Watching your child embrace their favorite characters at Disney World is fun for everyone, just be sure to have the camera ready, you never know what may happen.
Disney World has so many shows going on throughout the day that if you don’t want to ride rides, you can easily stay entertained by watching shows all day. While we were in a hurry going through each park because of our 1-Day Hopper Pass to all 4 parks, the shows we did get to see were some of the best we’ve seen. Each show at Disney features entertaining performances, great storylines, and some of your favorite characters.
Our favorite show was actually one that only takes place on select nights in Hollywood Studios the Fantasmic Nighttime Show. This show is an outdoor show and features more than 50 live performers, massive sets, stunning effects, dazzling pyrotechnics and rousing music and is unlike any show you’ve seen before.
The shows at Disney are so entertaining that people of all ages and diversities will love them.
The rides at Disney World are some of the most thrilling and fun rides you’ll go on. While we didn’t get to do all the rides we hoped to do at Disney World, the ones we did were fun and family-friendly.
One of the first rides we did, even took us to Mars for an out-of-this-world adventure. While the kids were a bit scared, at first, when they got out of the stimulator, they had nothing but smiles across their faces. Other rides we got to do let us follow Nemo on an adventure, go on an African Safari, and go on an adventure with C-3PO from Star Wars.
If you’re looking for more adult thrill rides, Disney World has those too. Just check out the Aerosmith Rollercoaster, the Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest, and Space Mountain.
The souvenirs at Disney World are some of the best, in my opinion. Although they are a little pricey, purchasing a souvenir during your trip to Disney is something you have to do for the kiddos. Not only will it be cherished for years to come, you really can’t put a price tag on great memories.
Our trip to Disney World was so much fun! Even though, we’ve been back home for a few weeks, we still can’t get over all the memories we made there. If you’ve been on the fence about visiting Disney World, what are you waiting for? It’s so magical your whole family will love it!
