This week you may have noticed I’ve been a little spotty posting my usual post. Sorry guys! We’ve had a little change of pace this week and I haven’t had the time to write. Rather than just throwing some meaningless words together, I figured it’s probably best just to wait.
In the meantime, I’ve decided to start new weekly updates. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and, honestly, I just don’t feel like I write enough about my life, period.
This week I’ve done something I haven’t really done in almost 7 years, I started working again. Not full time, not really part time, but enough that I’ve been keeping myself busy.
So, what am I doing? Well it’s something I’ve never saw myself doing. I’ve always said I’m not a teacher, I’m really not that good at teaching things, but I’m now officially a substitute teacher. While I’ve only worked with elementary age students, I really love working with kids. Tomorrow I am going a bit further out of my comfort zone and teaching middle school children, I’m a little nervous, but very excited to see where this all leads.
Besides the new job, things are really just the same old same. Winter is on it’s way and there is even talk that we could get an actual snowfall this Saturday. It’s a little later than some years, but honestly, I’m just not sure I can handle the cold winter; moving to Florida is sounding pretty good right now.
The boys, on the other hand, have been pretty busy with school. They just had their book fair and the kids were fortunate enough to get to invite two sets of their grandparents to eat lunch with them. Besides getting spoiled to pieces, the boys were pretty excited to have lunch with someone else.
Besides school, Cayden has a lot on his plate. He’s got 21 girlfriends & he’s gonna marry them all. I’m sure by now the numbers probably gone up. He’s coming out of his shell more and more and I think he’s even hitting a growth spurt.
Brantley, on the other hand, has been a little more testy. He’s getting bored with school and he just really doesn’t want to listen. So, now everyday we have to check and make sure he was good to his teacher.
Zoey, what can I say, she’s such a sweetheart. She’s had some company from her cousins this week and she absolutely loves getting attention.
That pretty much sums up this week in a nutshell. Until next week, I’ll be planning for Thanksgiving and rushing to finish Christmas shopping.
Tell me, what exciting things have you been up to?
