Thank You God For Grandma By Amy Parker Book Review

by Crystal Carder

Growing up, grandparents can be pretty special. They give us special treats, keep us from getting into trouble, and they let us do whatever we want.

Now that I’m older, my grandparents have almost all (but one) passed on, but my children are fortunate to have a ton of grandparents to cuddle up to.

Their paps are all rough and rigid, but their grandmas are pretty sweet and caring. My kids are very loved by their grandparents, and they know it, so when I got the book, Thank You God For Grandmas by Amy Parker, my kids wanted to read it with grandma.

About The Book:

Thank You, God, for Grandmas, Nanas, and Mimis too, Gigi’s and Grams and Grand-mommies—They’re great, grand gifts from You!

No matter what you call her, there is nothing like the love between a grandma and her grandchild! With sweet, rhyming text and adorable illustrations, Thank You, God, for Grandma encourages little ones to treasure God’s special gift of grandmothers.

Grandmas and their grandchildren alike will love this heartwarming story that celebrates their precious relationship.

Amy Parker’s children’s books have sold more than 800,000 copies, including two Christian Retailing’s Best award-winning books and the bestselling A Night Night Prayer. She lives outside Nashville with her husband and two children.

Thank You God for Grandma comes in a cute little board book and is perfect for nighttime story reading.

This story has beautifully illustrated pictures by Rosalinda Kightley and follows the story with a cute little grandma bear and a cub. My kids loved the photos in this book and were quick to point out how nice the bears looked.

Although the title of this book is Thank You God for Grandma, this book really doesn’t say much about God.

Thank You, God For Grandma is a great book for children to be thankful for all the little things we take for granted, like grandparents.

This book would make a beautiful book for this Easter, but don’t just take my word, check it out here – http://amzn.to/2mwVloI
